Great post!
I all about you...Popping in from SITS!
Great post!

I all about your How you weaned your 3 1/2 year old. I was all about self weaning but, my pooh bear is going to be 2 in January and he's so addicted to the boob!

I think it's also a comforting thing because he's definitely been eating solid foods. He eats dinner and still will nurse after that. I'm down to at least three times a day. 5:30, after dinner and before bedtime. My baby's a night owl. He's never appreciated going to sleep at a decent hour. Another thing I have yet to tackle...

Okay, I'm being long winded!JaelCustomDesignshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16582793131116054168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354869131367567263.post-50875744723003977852009-11-01T14:43:39.003-08:002009-11-01T14:43:39.003-08:00I know you are "dead on" and I hate it.....I know you are "dead on" and I hate it....because I was fully prepared/researched/ready for homebirth, and ended up with a horrid experience that led to an unnecessary c-section. My venusimo seems to be forever wrecked despite my efforts to "fix" it.amy friendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08990100568515103647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354869131367567263.post-32465469776097114022009-10-23T13:18:00.035-07:002009-10-23T13:18:00.035-07:00I think you are completely onto something. As a former lactation consultant and a mom that has had every possible kind of birth experience, I think you are dead on!Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17480046958714954128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354869131367567263.post-8189175693690241382009-10-21T06:47:31.283-07:002009-10-21T06:47:31.283-07:00This is such a great post. I just felt jipped of the excitement and surprise of 'I think it's time!!'

I did push out a nine pound, two ounce heffer that filled me with enough pride that I still wear that fact like badge of frigging honor.

When I couldn't breastfeed my son (after a month of trying and three bouts of mastitis = see? I still feel the need to explain) I felt like a complete failure as a mother and woman.

Over a year into nursing my daughter, I feel like a success.

You might be onto something here....The Grown-Up Childhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14345769609538869681noreply@blogger.com
